Concerted efforts ensure economic growth and efficiency

Confronting the grim situation in industries of coal, iron and steel and chemicals, since this year, the Group didn’t adopt the policy of wait and see but pull together to ensure economic growth and efficiency by issuing package of policies which are roughly classified into 6 parts with 22 specific measures.

----Ensuring production. By optimizing the distribution of production, upgrading labor efficiency and reinforcing technical support, the completion of the production plan made at the beginning of this year is guaranteed.

------Improving quality. The Group endeavors to gain the lion’s share by proving high-quality and customized products in the light of promoting the restructuring of coal industry and its products.

---Investing reasonably. Adhering to the strategy of “take- the- essence -and ?discard- the dregs”, the Group gives priority to the development of key projects with great emphasis on project approval. Meanwhile, the Group engages in gaining more extra benefits by promoting the efficiency of mining and speeding up the contracture of new-type coal &chemical projects.

-----Reducing cost. Further promoting the management of benchmarking by reducing cost and improving proficiency, all the affiliated enterprises should call a stop to all equipment purchase and start material redistribution plan and the plan of making the best use of stored goods and repairing old facilities and equipment. With the ultimate purpose of reducing cost and product price, the Group has made relative plans in the followings: centralizing the investment management of financial assets, reinvigorating leave unused capital and increasing efficiency of fund utilization.

  • ----Downsizing the workforce. Great attention should be paid to recruitment management rules and regulations, adhering to labour and employment system. The following measures are adopted to downsize the workforce and improve the Group’s efficiency: cutting off the senior staff in some old enterprises, rehiring the staff after retirement and redistributing its own contract staff.

---- Employee Evaluation. The report meeting system of economic operation analysis is established so as to straighten out the problems appearing in the process of economic operation. Rewards and punishment will be pursued and merit pay is tied to the completion of assigned tasks.
