The 10^th International Mine Rescue Contest was held in Ontario, Canada from Aug. 23th to 25^th, delegation of ShaanMei Group won the second place(silver award), the single winner of China’s three delegations, and was praised by State Administration of work Safety.

It’s reported that International Mine Rescue Contest was started and held in 1999 by the USA, up to now ,it has been held ten times and held by member states in turn, it was held every two years, the 5^th International Mine Rescue Contest was held in PingDingShan, HeNan province by State Administration of work Safety in 2006. China sent three delegations in the 10^th contest, they are ShaanMei Group, YongGui, and HePing delegation, of which Shaanmei Group was the first very time that had represented China to attend such international contest.

After being selected, ShaanMei Group paid special attention and made full preparation, seven mine rescue professionals were chosen from the 7 subordinated mine emergency rescue teams, and were trained four months in Tongchuan national rescue base, the seven professionals practiced hard during the training periods, which has laid a solid foundation for the contest.
