The world’s first 660MW supercritical CFB electricity generation, state-power demonstrative project settled in Binchang mine lot of ShaanMei Group

Rencentl, National Energy Administration printed and distributed “the Reply of consenting on the listing of supercritical circulating fluidized bed burns low-heating-value coal to electricity to be state-power demonstrative project”, agreed to list the world’s first 660MW supercritical and circulating fluidized bed electricity generation to state-power demonstrative project, which marks state-power demonstrative project of the world’s first 660MW supercritical CFB electricity generation has settled in Binchang mine lot of ShaanMei Group.
It’s reported that the project will be supported in terms of policy, technology research and development and project construction by our country, aiming at creating the world’s first 660MW supercritical, low power consumption and low emissions, burning low-heating-value coal of circulating fluidized bed electricity generation of generating demonstrative project. The project was built by National Energy Administration and Shaanxi Binchang mine company, which invested according to their equity ratio 51 percent to 49 percent.
Two 660MW ultra-supercritical CFB generating units were planned and designed, and one 660MW ultra-supercritical CFB demonstration generating unit was constructed in advance. The main technical indicators of the unit are: the boiler efficiency 93.5%, the power utilization rate 4.72%, the standard coal consumption 289.7g/kWh (air cooling), the soot emission concentration≤5mg/Nm cubed, the SO2 emission concentration≤35mg/Nm cubed, the NOX emission concentration≤50mg/Nm cubed. The emissions are able to meet the national envrailwaymental protection standards, and demonstration projects can play a leading role in promoting green and low-carbon development and industrial upgrading.
The coal source of the project is the mixture of coal slime, gangue and raw coal. The designed coal slime and gangue account for 75% of the total coal consumption of 1.864 million tons per year, among which 1.398 million tons of coal slime and gangue with low calorific value per year. The coal burning of the project is mainly supported by the Wenjiapo coal mine of Shaanxi coal group Bin chang Mining Industry. The designed production capacity of the mine is 4.0mt /a and the service period is 75.7a. The mine was started to be built in July 2012 and passed the comprehensive acceptance of the National Energy Administration in May 2018.
It is understood that coal-fired power generation is driven by steam turbine power generation by generating high-temperature and high-pressure steam. The higher the temperature and pressure of steam, the higher the efficiency of power generation. When temperature and pressure rise to 600 degrees Celsius, 25 to 28 megapascals and so on, the ultra-supercritical "boundary" is achieved.
Compared with ordinary clean coal power generation technology, ultra-supercritical unit technology has the characteristics of good inheritance and easy to achieve the characteristics of large scale. It can be comparable with subcritical unit in reliability, availability, thermal mobility and unit life, and has more commercial operation experience.
CFB——circulating fluidized bed technology, as one of the main clean coal power generation technologies, can achieve desulfurization and denitrification simultaneously. While making full use of low-quality coal, it can effectively reduce sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions and reduce acid rain formation, opening up a new space for synchronous and coordinated development of thermal power generation and envrailwaymental protection.
