On June 1, the new organization is established according to the Decision of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shaanxi People’s Government on “Establishing Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd.”; Official Approval Code of Shaanxi SASAC [2006]144. Shaanxi Coal Industry Group Co. Ltd., Shaanxi Weihe Coal Chemical industry Group Ltd., Shaanxi Huashan Chemical Industry Group Co. Ltd., and Shaanxi Coke Chemical Limited Company merged to create a modern enterprise system, officially establishing Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. On June 30, 2006, the Group held an inaugural ceremony.

After the merger, Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. operated in the major business sectors including coal mining, sales, processing, and comprehensive product utilization; coal chemical products, chemical fertilizer, and R&D related to fine chemical products; production and sales of electric power; coal railway transportation; mechanical processing, manufacture and repair of special coal mine equipment, instruments and accessories; research and design of coal, chemical, and coal exploration machines; coal geological exploration; as well as consulting services. It also covers fields such as deep processing of coal and associated minerals; mining engineering, industrial and civil construction, mechanical and electrical equipment installation, mine (construction) design and project supervision, and building materials; manufacturing and sales of gas products; pyrotechnics, communication, road transport, warehousing, high-tech industry, commerce, agriculture and forestry products, import and export; related technology; and production and management of raw materials, machinery and equipment, instruments, and spare parts related to the enterprise.
