On July 12, the CGPS industrial tests, co-researched by Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industrial Group and Beijing Coro Lighting on integrated technology of Gasify low-rank coal and pyrolysis, whose scientific and technological achievements have been passed and authenticated by Sinopec League in Beijing. The body of experts affirm that the technology improves the empyreumatic oil, which enjoys international initiative and a leading position. It’s advised that fundamental research, optimizing processing route as well as technological conditions should be strengthened. Improving the technic index, realizing the operation of industrialization as quickly as possible, to lay the foundation of large-scale promotion and application.

Secretary of Shaanxi Coal Group Party committee HuaWei, general manager YanGuanglao, Vice general manager ShangJianxuan of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industrial Group, together with its department heads, research institute, leaders of Beijing Coro Lighting, academicians of CAE, XieKechang, NiWeidou, JinYong, identification group consisted of nine authoritative experts in coal and chemical field, leaders of the union group of Sinopec attended the identification meeting. LiJinzhu, deputy director of Shaanxi NPC, attended the meeting and gave a speech as well.

 Yan Guanglao, general manager of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industrial Group, mentioned his group company has had scientific research exploration experience over the years. From 2008, our enterprise aims at coal pyrolytic field, and have exploited torbanite pyrolytic coal and tar hydrogenation technology successively. And they have broken through coal tar distillation hydrogenation technology gradually. Then they have formed many craft ways which process Independent Intellectual Property Rights (IIPR). They have built demonstration plant of 500 thousand and 120 thousand medium and low temperature coal tar hydrogenation petroleum products industrialization and finally achieve the sales revenue of 15 billion yuan .

At the same time, it is pointed out that the group will build hundreds of millions of tons of coal capacity during the thirteenth “Five-year Plan” in northern Shaanxi. According to characteristics of coal quality, group is established in promoting energy exchange efficiency. Due to the energy conservation and environmental protection concept of reducing carbon emissions, group have developed pulverized coal flash pyrolytic technique. Today, they formally requested for authenticating. He hoped that leaders and experts could share their valuable comments and suggestions, and also hoped to regard this meeting as an opportunity to know more about Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industrial Group. In the meantime, they could provide support and assist as always in scientific research and exploration work in the direction for Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industrial Group.

At the appraising meeting, the responsible officers of each research team made a presentation respectively. Shang JianXuan, the deputy general manager of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group, said in his report that, presently, there are more than ten kinds of pyrolytic process using the low-rank coal, conny and bovey coal as raw material in our country. However, being limited by low heat transfer efficiency, on line gas solid separation of high temperature pyrolysis gas and difficulty of dealing with pyrolysis wastewater, the engineering problem of dust coal pyrolysis has not been solved effectively. For this reason, Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group which possesses dozens of proprietary technologies, such as full fraction hydrogenation of low temperature coal tar, delayed coking coal tar, low temperature coal tar from coal tar fuel in light and so on and industrial plant operation experiences cooperated with Beijing Coro Lighting, which owns belt furnace dismembered patent technology developed CGPS technology creatively after several years of joint research and built industrial test apparatus that the treatment of coal quantity is ten thousand per year. After a total of nine hundred hours of operation, this industrial test apparatus passed the seventy two hours’ on-site examination and calibration which organized by China Petrochemical Association from June 26th to June 29th.

 Nine coal and chemical industry experts such as academicians Xie Kechang,Ni Weidou, JinYong from CAE reached an agreement that Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industrial Group and Beijing Coro Lighting’s jointing hands on the development of CGPS technology, by coupling of pyrolysis and semi coke gasification technology, produced by semi coke gasification of high temperature gas as a heat carrier pyrogenation. Reverse cascade direct contact pyrolysis, realized the pyrolysis step of efficient and reasonable utilization of sensible heat of hot gas and reduction of coal pyrolysis,development of the four segment of the new type of belt type pyrolysis furnace, set the dry, low temperature in the warm solution and waste heat recovery for one, Energy efficiency high utilization rate, the resulting semi coke, coal tar, gas quality is good. The million ton industrial test of the master device and automatic control is advanced and reasonable. In particular, therecycling of coal tar produced by absorption of tar in gas, and electric tar technology, tar recovery rate is high, compared with the traditional process, the wastewater is greatly reduced.

Academician Xie Kechang from CAE claimed: coal quality classification using is not only an effective way use of clean coal, it will also be an important development direction of the coal chemical industry during the thirteenth “Five-year Plan”. Especially the low quality coal converted to high rank coal tar and gas technology, this has been regarded as key technologies R & D programme during the thirteenth “Five-year Plan”. In this case, the CGPS technology has been developed successfully and authenticated, it’s no doubt that the efficient use of coal offers a new technology path. Once the application optimized and upgraded, applied to industrialization, it will have a profound effect on the using of clean coal conversion as a leading energy, as well as on the healthy development of China's economy.

 Li Jinzhu, deputy director of Shaanxi National People's Congress, pointed out in the last speech that Shaanxi party committee and the provincial government has always put the breakthrough of the conversing technology of high-clean coal use as a key to our provincial coal transformation and upgrading. This CGPS technology has passed the national evaluation, it plays an important role in promoting the conversion our province and even the whole country in low-rank coal efficiently.
