On the afternoon of March 4, the Tajikistan delegation led by Director Bahrikin of the Coal Department of Industrial Ministry visited Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. Yan Guanglao, General Manager, Sun Ximin, Deputy General Manager, managers of related departments and branch companies, and leaders of Northwest Electric Power Institute of China Power Engineering Consulting Group also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the two sides first watched videos on Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. Yan Guanglao, General Manager of the Group said that Tajikistan has been a friendly neighbor of China since ancient times. The “Silk Road Economic Zone” has promoted more comprehensive regional cooperation between the two countries and since the presidents of the two countries signed a joint declaration, a number of new large-scale cooperation projects have been launched. Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. is a state-owned enterprise, the cooperation projects between the Group and Tajikistan have been encouraged and supported by the Chinese central government and the Shaanxi provincial government, offering a good example of cooperation between enterprises in innovation and sustainable development, aiming at a win-win situation. The project embodies three advantages: being responsive to policy and deepening reform; building a platform and realizing transformation and upgrading; sincere cooperation with mutual benefits.
Sun Ximin, Deputy General Manager, introduced the Group company, and pointed out that the Group is actively implementing the strategy of internationalization; four projects have been started in Kyrgyzstan and another four countries, involving oil refining, urea, coal resource exploration, etc. At this time, the project in Tajikistan is being jointly developed by the Group and the Northwest Electric Power Institute of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, which has attracted the attention of the Chinese government and the Shaanxi provincial government. He said that Tajikistan is one of the five core countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt, and Shaanxi province is the new starting point of the Silk Road Economic Belt, therefore the cooperation bears obvious advantages and great significance. Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. has the strength, confidence, and responsibility to build the project in Tajikistan successfully.
Mr. Bahrikin, Director of the Coal Department of Industrial Ministry of Tajikistan, introduced the coal distribution industry, the coal chemical industry, and hydropower in Tajikistan, and outlined their development and future plans. He said he has learned a lot about the business of the Group through this visit, has further strengthened the faith to cooperate, and that the advanced experiences of the Group will benefit the coal industry in Tajikistan. He hopes that both sides can strengthen cooperation and contribute to the economic and trade exchanges between the two countries.
